With gas prices topping $4 dollars nationwide, trading games to save money has never been more attractive. Read the testimonial below from one of our most satisfied customers.
With the economic downturn now more than ever consumers are looking for ways to save money and stretch their dollar. As an avid gamer I have been conducting research to determine the best way to find cheap games. I have always shopped at traditional retailers and traded in my games for store credit and then use that credit toward another game. I have always felt like I was getting ripped off in this process but I felt like there were no other options and getting some value for my game was better than nothing and having the game collect dust.
That is why I was so happy when I stumbled across ReplayGamez. At first I was cautions because I have never traded games online before but it couldn’t have been easier.
ReplayGamez is the best way to trade your video games to save money. I have been using this service for about 3 months and it is fantastic. They only charge $5.99 per trade and they have some of the newest games. I haven’t traded a game at Gamestop since I found out about this site. I highly recommend checking it out.
With ReplayGamez.com the process is simple. Users register on the site and submit a game they want to trade and the game they want in return. When another site user accepts the offer, both parties are notified to send their games to ReplayGamez.com using a pre-paid mailer. Once the games are received, and validated, both parties are notified that their games have shipped and are provided with a tracking number. Once customers receive a requested game they can play it forever or trade it in again.
That is why I like this service so much. There are no hidden fees and I received my game in about 5 business days. While this is longer than just dropping in your favorite store and buying the game the savings is worth this minor inconvenience. So far I have traded about 6 games through this service with no problems.

Take-Two:EA bid one of many offers

Apparently, Electronic Arts is not the only company interested in acquiring Grand Theft Auto publisher Take Two Interactive. Take Two also believes that the $2 billion bid is inadequate.“After careful evaluation, the board has determined that EA’s proposal substantially undervalues Take-Two’s robust and enviable stable of game franchises, exceptional creative talent and strong consumer loyalty,” the publisher said in a statement. “We believe EA’s unsolicited offer is highly opportunistic and is attempting to take advantage of our upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto IV, one of the most valuable and durable franchises in the industry. “Furthermore, the offer values the Company at a significant discount to its public peers and does not compensate Take-Two for its intrinsic value and the substantial synergies that the proposed combination would create.”
It will be very interesting to see how this plays out.

By Scott Hillis
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - U.S. sales of video game hardware and software rose 28 percent in December from a year earlier as holiday shoppers snapped up new consoles like Nintendo Co Ltd’s (7974.OS: Quote, Profile, Research) top-selling Wii, market research firm NPD said on Thursday.
But after setting a 43 percent pace for all of 2007, growth is expected to cool off this year as attention moves away from the transition to a new generation of hardware and more toward games. Read the rest of the article
Tips: How to find a Nintendo Wii this holiday season

1. Be persistent - You are going to need to hunt for your Wii often, daily if possible.
2. The phone is your friend - Call your local retailers often and ask when they are getting their next shipment. Remember not to be rude. They most likely are receiving several calls from anxious customers.
3. Try stores off the beaten path - If you live in a major metropolitan area try retail locations off of the beaten path. Call first so you don’t waste your time and gas.
4. Focus your search at the larger retailers - The larger stores will receive more units per shipment so focus on Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and Circuit City. You should also try Sears…they are often overlooked.
5. Be prepared to stand in line - If you luck out and a store rep tells you that a shipment of Wii’s are coming on a certain date try to get to the store a few hours early to get a good spot in line. They have most likely told several people about the incoming shipment so the earlier you can get in line the better your odds of snagging a Wii before Christmas.
6. Don’t get discouraged - Your odds of finding a Wii are pretty decent. They are producting 1.8 million a month so don’t get discouraged. Also, remember if you get really desperate you can always buy one from Amazon or eBay. Just be prepared to pay some extra $$$!

We attended the Video Game Expo in Philadelphia Nov 2-4 to have some fun and spread the word of our upcoming site. The event exceeded our expectations and we spoke with several interested attendees during the event. Based on several conversations it appears that many people have been waiting a long time for a better alternative for trading their games. Some people even told us that they don’t trade games anymore because they were tired of getting ripped off. See the link below to read an article referring to our company on the Gaming Angels blog.
